Amount:                      3 Scholarships @ $1500 annually

 

Institution:                   Any accredited Saskatchewan post-secondary educational institution

 

Sponsored by:              Leading Thunderbird Lodge Inc. (youth treatment centre)

Award:                         March/April 2021

 

Selection Criteria:

• Must be attending full time studies within the current academic year at a recognized Saskatchewan post-secondary educational program in the areas of: Social Work, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, Addictions Counselling and Youth Care Worker (with a special interest in Holistic Wellness, Addictions, Mental Health)
• Preference will be given to First Nation students who are members of the File Hills Qu’Appelle or Touchwood Agency Tribal Councils
• Must provide proof of successful academic standing through copy of official transcripts
• Must provide a one page written statement of how you are personally role modeling a healthy lifestyle and share your future goals in the promotion of personal and community wellness
• Must provide a monthly budget as consideration will be given based on financial need
• Must provide two letters of reference – one character and one professional
• All applications are welcomed for consideration of this scholarship
